Ionuț Martinescu warps in verses. He is from Iași, and when he gets up on the stage he becomes NoSteam Highduc-ul and expresses his thoughts, experiences and feelings through music. For him hip-hop is an urban art, but also a sweet frenzy. The warping completes his dream and feeds his soul.
“We try to give color and to bring a breath of fresh and authentic Romanian air in the modern metropolises”, says Ionuț. He has chosen to sing and warp because for him “the underground reflects the reality of the street and is a beautiful playground for every MC, B-Boy, skater, baker, DJ etc.” This is the only way in which he is able to highlight what he has better and more personal in an area without formal constraints.
“Urzeală is for me a beautiful family and I am proud and glad to be part of this team”. Highduc thinks that Romanian values and traditions are not enough promoted in Romania. That is why “we want to help increase the interest in literature, art and work among those who listen to us and join us”.
“Romania warps usefully. Or so I wish.”
